Meta now lets AI agents handle the boring parts of WhatsApp Business setup

Meta har lanserat WhatsApp Business Tools MCP, en anslutning som låter AI-agenter som Claude, Cursor, Codex och ChatGPT automatisera inställningen av WhatsApp Business för företag.
Tidigare krävde processen att utvecklare växlade mellan flera verktyg som Developer Console, Business Manager och API-referens. Nu kan utvecklare i stället instruera sin AI-agent att skapa WhatsApp Business-konton, verifiera telefonnummer, registrera Cloud API-åtkomst och skapa meddelandemallar. AI-agenten kan också testa meddelanden, övervaka webhooks och diagnostisera fel som tidigare kunde förbli dolda.
Alongside news of its new AI-focused subscription plans, Meta announced on Tuesday that it will now allow AI agents of your choosing to set up and manage WhatsApp Business messaging, the service that allows companies to connect with customers through WhatsApp conversations.
